Data Engineer - Web Scraping (4‑month contract)

About the role

We are seeking a Data Engineer specialized in web scraping to join our global team on a 4‑month remote contract. You will help maintain and optimise our data‑collection pipelines that support luxury‑brand clients.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and manage website‑scraping configurations using Python.
• Monitor scraping jobs for errors, crashes and performance issues.
• Analyse retrieved data to detect blockages and quality problems.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define scraping requirements and report issues.
• Prepare periodic reports on scraping activities for internal teams.
• Build pipelines to ingest scraped data into the data lake and apply necessary transformations.

Required profile

• At least 2 years of experience in data engineering or a related field.
• Proven ability to design scalable data architectures and ETL processes.
• Strong knowledge of data modelling, warehousing and data‑security best practices.
• Experience working with cloud platforms, especially Azure.
• Fluent English; French is a plus.
