Electrical Wiring Harness Engineer – 2D/3D Integration

About the role

Stellantis is seeking a skilled Electrical Wiring Harness Engineer to lead the definition, design, and validation of 2D wiring harness schematics while ensuring seamless integration with 3D models and vehicle electrical architectures. The role focuses on delivering high‑quality, cost‑effective harness solutions across multiple projects.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and validate 2D wiring harness drawings using CHS tools.
• Ensure proper integration within Electrical & Electronic (EE) architectures and vehicle systems.
• Participate in design reviews, guaranteeing compliance with project requirements and engineering standards.
• Define wiring harness complexity, perform root‑cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Optimize wire cross‑sections and maintain overall design robustness.
• Collaborate with 3D design teams and connectivity engineers to align 2D schematics with 3D models.
• Provide technical support to suppliers, validate proposals, and manage engineering change processes (ECR/ECO).
• Monitor supplier performance on quality, cost, and delivery, and coordinate technical exchanges with harness manufacturers.
• Contribute to the improvement of engineering standards and best‑practice development.
• Track project progress and deliver regular status reports.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of electrical and electronic systems in automotive applications.
• Proven experience in designing and validating wiring harness schematics.
• Ability to manage complex technical environments and lead cross‑functional teams.
• Excellent problem‑solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Effective communication and negotiation abilities for supplier interactions.

Required skills

• Advanced expertise in 2D schematics, drawings, BOMs, and supplier consultation packages.
• Solid understanding of wiring harness components (connectors, protections, electrical standards).
• Proficiency with PLM environments.
• Strong experience using CHS tools.
• Experience in supplier management and engineering change processes (ECR/ECO).
