Internal Audit Team Lead

About the role

Under the direction of the Audit Director, the Internal Audit Team Lead will manage the planning, execution, and completion of audit engagements for SGS. The role involves leading a team of senior and guest auditors, ensuring audits follow global standards and delivering high‑quality reports.

Key responsibilities

• Lead detailed planning, execution, and finalisation of assigned audit engagements.
• Translate audit objectives into clear task allocations and design efficient audit programmes.
• Facilitate team working sessions, resolve issues, and ensure consistent audit judgments.
• Supervise, coach, and coordinate auditors on‑site or remotely, reviewing documentation for quality.
• Act as primary contact for auditees during engagements.
• Monitor remediation actions and contribute to continuous improvement of audit practices.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years of experience in the Testing Inspection and Certification (TIC) industry, external/internal audit, or a comparable managerial role.
• High ethical standards, sound judgment, and discretion in handling sensitive matters.
• Proven ability to lead international teams and projects (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of internal control principles and audit methodology.
