About the role
Eville & Jones, Europe’s largest provider of Official Veterinary Controls, is seeking an experienced Office Manager for its Central Support team in Leeds. This pivotal role supports the CEO and senior leadership while ensuring the office runs smoothly and efficiently.
Key responsibilities
- Manage reception and create a positive first impression for visitors.
- Provide diary, travel, meeting and paperwork support to the CEO and team.
- Maintain and improve office software systems, filing (paper and digital) and transition to paper‑less processes.
- Develop and implement new administrative procedures.
- Oversee office budget, expenditure, supplies, layout, refurbishments and repairs.
- Ensure compliance with data protection, supplier standards and health‑and‑safety requirements.
- Organise meetings, events, travel arrangements and company functions such as summer and Christmas parties.
- Update the CRM with new customer enquiries and manage office security, petty cash and key‑holder duties.
- Provide cover for Export Administrator and other roles as needed, including fire‑warden responsibilities.
- Run reports, create rotas for clinical vets and reconcile monthly invoices.
Required profile
- Proven experience in office management or senior administrative support.
- Strong initiative, able to identify and improve sub‑optimal processes.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including interaction with the Board.
- Confident, proactive, self‑starter with a passion for making a difference.
Required skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related office software packages.
