Accounts Payable Specialist

About the role

COFICAB, a global leader in automotive wire and cable manufacturing, is looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join its Moroccan operations. The role focuses on processing supplier invoices, ensuring compliance with local accounting standards, and supporting month‑end closing activities.

Key responsibilities

• Register and post received invoices and credit memos in the ERP system, performing three‑way matching with purchase orders.
• Verify invoice accuracy, compliance with Moroccan accounting regulations, and coordinate payment scheduling with the treasury department.
• Record supplier payments using Sage, maintain proper documentation, and reconcile third‑party accounts.
• Monitor purchase order status in collaboration with the purchasing department.
• Participate in intermediate and annual closing processes and assist with physical inventory counts.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of the Moroccan accounting system, taxation, customs regulations, and transport procedures.
• Attention to detail and ability to work accurately under tight deadlines.
• Good communication skills to interact with internal departments and external suppliers.
