Affiliate Professor – Design Projects & Active Learning

About the role

The College of Chemical Sciences & Engineering (CCSE) at Mohammed VI Polytechnic University seeks an Affiliate Professor to lead design projects and active‑learning initiatives across its Integrated Preparatory Cycle, Engineering Cycle and Bachelor programmes. The role focuses on coordinating interdisciplinary projects, implementing innovative teaching formats and supporting faculty development.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver integrative design projects from topic sourcing to final defence for all study cycles.
• Deploy active‑learning formats – blended learning (BBL), project‑based learning (PjBL) and challenge‑based learning (CBL) – within programme modules.
• Train and mentor faculty, adjunct lecturers and teaching assistants in the use of these formats and develop assessment rubrics.
• Design and deliver modules using the above active‑learning methods, supervising student projects and ensuring successful outcomes.
• Commit up to 200 teaching hours annually, including lectures, tutorials, labs, computer sessions, project supervision and remedial teaching.
• Prepare, invigilate and mark examinations, contribute to pedagogical committees and examination boards, and produce teaching materials.

Required profile

• Academic background aligned with the College’s R&D entities (chemistry, materials science or process engineering).
• Demonstrated experience in teaching and coordinating project‑based educational activities.
• Ability to work collaboratively with programme track coordinators and teaching teams.
