AH-64 Aircraft Mechanic 2 (Armament) - Morocco

About the role

The mission in Morocco provides maintenance support to the Royal Moroccan Air Force AH-64 program, ensuring the aircraft stay mission capable for training events. The AH-64 Aircraft Mechanic AM-2 (Armament/Electrical Specialty) performs full-range military tactical aircraft maintenance, primarily as an AH-64D/E mechanic, and directs lower-graded mechanics.

Key responsibilities

• Troubleshoot malfunctions in structure, landing gear, flight surfaces, controls, anti-icing, pneumatic, engine, auxiliary power unit and ventilation/heating systems
• Repair, assemble and modify aircraft, major assemblies, sub-assemblies and components
• Install, connect and adjust fuel, heat, lubrication, hydraulic, engine and transmission systems, and align fuselage parts and tail rotor assemblies
• Incorporate authorized modifications and changes
• Perform operational checks of hydraulic and fuel systems using external power and ground equipment
• Inspect, disassemble to the point of trouble and repair or replace defective parts
• Direct lower-graded mechanics and coordinate with general mechanics and sheet metal trades
• Prepare maintenance forms and records, and carry out additional duties as required

Required profile

• High school graduate or equivalent
• 5+ years of aviation maintenance experience on the AH-64, preferably in the last 5 years
• NAC-I T1 Public Trust clearance; US citizenship required for facility credentials, and a valid passport for deployment to Morocco
• Medical/vaccination requirement handled by the recruiter
• Able to climb, stand, bend and lift up to 20 pounds regularly and 50 pounds occasionally
• Immediately deployable to potential combat areas worldwide
