Assistant Finance Director (Assistant Controller)

About the role

We are seeking an Assistant Finance Director (Assistant Controller) to lead the day‑to‑day operations of our Accounting Office in Fes, Morocco. The role supports financial analysis, reporting, budgeting, audit coordination and cash management, ensuring accurate and timely financial information for the business.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in managing the accounting team, providing guidance, performance feedback and fostering a collaborative environment.
• Oversee internal, external and regulatory audit processes and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Prepare and deliver accurate profit‑and‑loss statements, balance‑sheet reconciliations and cash‑flow reports.
• Coordinate budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis to support strategic decision‑making.
• Maintain compliance with tax regulations, ensuring correct sales/use‑tax rates and timely accruals.
• Ensure all account balances are supported by appropriate documentation in line with SOPs.
• Generate ad‑hoc financial reports and presentations for senior management.
• Monitor working capital, asset and liability reconciliations, and cash‑control procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (4‑year) in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
• No prior work experience required; fresh graduates are welcome.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to lead and influence teams.
• High integrity, honesty and a commitment to ethical financial practices.
• Detail‑oriented with the ability to analyse data and solve problems.
