Automation Engineer

About the role

Join TE Connectivity as an Automation Engineer and help shape the future of warehousing operations. You will work with cross‑functional teams to design, implement and maintain cutting‑edge automation solutions that drive efficiency and sustainability.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and select optimal automated systems for warehousing, including conveyors, sorters, AS/RS, and AGVs/AMRs.
• Lead preventive and corrective maintenance programs for all automation equipment.
• Integrate automation hardware with WMS/WCS platforms and ensure seamless digitalization.
• Deploy AI‑based solutions to enhance system performance and enable continuous improvement.
• Analyze system data, identify improvement opportunities, and implement corrective actions.
• Conduct troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis to minimize downtime.
• Support commissioning, testing and deployment of new automation projects.
• Coordinate activities with operations, maintenance, IT teams and external vendors.
• Maintain compliance with TE values, safety standards and operational requirements.

Required profile

• Engineering degree in Electronics Systems & Automation or a related field.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar automation role.
• Demonstrated commitment to integrity, accountability, inclusion, innovation and teamwork.

Required skills

• Automation system design and implementation.
• Experience with conveyor, sorter, AS/RS, AGV/AMR technologies.
• WMS/WCS integration and digitalization.
• AI deployment for automated processes.
• Preventive maintenance and root‑cause analysis.
• Commissioning, testing and project rollout.
