Automation Project Manager

About the role

Buhler Group in Casablanca, Morocco is looking for a passionate Automation Project Manager to join the Automation team. The role is responsible for leading automation projects from initiation to commissioning, ensuring successful delivery within scope, schedule, quality and budget requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end automation projects, from scope definition and planning through design, implementation, testing, commissioning and final handover.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, manage schedules, resources, milestones and deliverables to ensure successful execution.
• Monitor project performance, identify risks or deviations and implement corrective actions to meet customer and business objectives.
• Develop and review PLC, HMI and SCADA solutions, ensuring compliance with functional specifications, testing requirements and quality standards.
• Provide technical expertise during system integration, FAT/SAT, commissioning and start‑up activities while maintaining accurate project documentation.

Required profile

• Engineering degree (Bac+5) or Master’s in Automation, Electrical, Control, Mechatronics or Industrial Computing.
• Proven experience in industrial automation projects, including project management responsibilities.
• Good knowledge of industrial networks such as ProfNet, Ethernet/IP, Modbus and OPC UA.
• Working knowledge of at least one scripting or programming language (VB .NET, C#, SQL).
• Proficiency with project management tools (MS Project, Primavera or equivalent).
• Fluent in French and English (written and spoken); Arabic is an advantage.

• PLC, HMI and SCADA development and review.
