Backend Engineer - Marketplace

About the role

Yakeey, a fast‑growing PropTech company, is looking for a Backend Engineer to own the Marketplace domain of its digital real‑estate platform. You will work on Java/Spring Boot micro‑services, ensuring architectural consistency while collaborating with front‑end, data, DevOps, and AI teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Java/Spring Boot micro‑services for the Marketplace domain following domain‑driven design.
• Expose and document APIs that integrate Marketplace services with other platform components, adhering to the Model Context Protocol where applicable.
• Align implementations with global architecture standards, patterns, and cross‑team agreements.
• Collaborate with front‑end, data, DevOps, and AI teams to understand dependencies and ensure seamless integration.
• Participate in architectural discussions, sharing domain insights and learning from other teams.
• Implement best practices for code quality, testing, security, and observability; take part in code reviews and continuous delivery.
• Mentor junior developers and promote knowledge sharing across teams.

Required profile

• Solid experience building backend systems with deep expertise in Java and Spring Boot.
• Strong understanding of micro‑services architecture, RESTful API design, and domain‑driven design.
• Interest or experience with next‑generation AI technologies such as LLMs, retrieval‑augmented generation, and Model Context Protocol.
• Ability to work collaboratively across multiple disciplines while focusing on backend development.
