Buyer – Procurement Operations (Raw & Packaging Materials)

About the role

Hikma Pharmaceuticals is seeking a Buyer for Procurement Operations focusing on raw and packaging materials. The role supports production continuity by managing the end‑to‑end purchasing process and collaborating with internal teams and suppliers.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure effective monitoring and follow‑up of purchase orders to avoid production disruptions.
• Manage the full procurement cycle from requisition to payment, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to secure continuity, improve performance, and resolve issues.
• Identify and participate in cost‑optimization and value‑creation initiatives.
• Collaborate with the Category Lead, supply planning, quality, finance, and production teams to guarantee material availability and balanced inventory levels.
• Contribute to continuous‑improvement projects to enhance process efficiency and compliance.
• Follow up on supplier claims and ensure timely resolution.

Required profile

• Master’s degree (Bac +5) in Purchasing, Supply Chain or Logistics Management.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in pharmaceutical raw material procurement.
• Solid understanding of pharmaceutical industry procurement dynamics.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and negotiation abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Fluency in French and English, both written and spoken.

Required skills

• SAP MM module.
• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Knowledge of international trade rules, Incoterms and transport regulations.
• Ability to prepare and consolidate procurement performance reports.
