CFD Simulation Engineer – Automotive

About the role

We are looking for a motivated CFD Simulation Engineer to support automotive development projects. The role involves applying computational fluid dynamics to improve vehicle thermodynamics, acoustics, aerodynamics and related areas.

Key responsibilities

• Perform CFD analyses for thermodynamics, acoustics, aerodynamics and other vehicle subsystems.
• Collaborate closely with pre‑ and post‑process partners to ensure accurate model setup and result interpretation.
• Present simulation outcomes and coordinate further actions with development teams and project management.
• Contribute to process improvement and method development within the CFD workflow.
• Handle technical topics independently and support project management from Germany in an international environment.
• Utilise engineering tools such as ANSA, CCM+ and GitHub for model preparation, simulation execution and data management.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in automotive, mechanical, aerospace engineering, physics or a related field with a focus on fluid mechanics.
• Fluent business English communication skills.
• High initiative, strong analytical abilities and the ability to work autonomously.
• Preferably some experience in the automotive sector or vehicle development and initial professional experience in the listed responsibilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ANSA.
• Proficiency with CCM+.
• Experience using GitHub for version control.
• Solid understanding of CFD principles and fluid‑mechanics concepts.
