About the role

The position is based in Casablanca within SG ATS, a subsidiary of the Société Générale Group. The Level‑2 Permanent Control Officer for Operational Risk ensures that control mechanisms adequately cover operational risks of banking activities, are properly designed and executed.

Key responsibilities

• Review results of managerial monitoring controls (completion rates, anomalies, significant issues) and adjust corrective action plans as needed.
• Verify selected controls for architecture (risk coverage, compliance with Group standards, design relevance) and execution quality (timeliness, procedural adherence, sample relevance, frequency, documentation).
• Assess the follow‑up of identified anomalies and formulate a qualified opinion on the effectiveness of first‑level controls for the assigned scope.
• Document findings, present and explain conclusions to the relevant management team to drive continuous improvement of permanent control quality.
• Operate with a high degree of autonomy while reporting to a hierarchical supervisor, defining reporting formats and maintaining a network of relationships necessary for control activities.

Required profile

• Master’s degree (Bac+5) from a business school or university.
• 1‑3 years of experience in financing and investment banking, primarily in back‑office or middle‑office functions.
• Exposure to market‑related operational processes such as booking, settlement and payment.
• Solid understanding of operational risk concepts.
• Good command of English.
