Development Area: Chassis Components

About the role

Bertrandt Technologie Morocco is seeking a General Design Engineer for the chassis components development area, supporting BMW projects. The role involves end‑to‑end design, documentation, and supplier coordination for various chassis parts, using Catia V5, Prisma and related tools.

Key responsibilities

• Design and engineer splash guards, MPU mounts, steering wheel mounts, wheel and tire components, and brake line brackets using Catia V5 surface modeling.
• Create and manage part histories, documentation, and special features in Prisma, including package data and installation space models.
• Request, test, and validate prototype parts on‑site, maintaining test records and FEM calculations.
• Coordinate approvals and technical discussions with BMW contacts and external suppliers, using JIRA for issue tracking.
• Review and interpret drawings and characteristic curves according to BMW standards, and produce change documentation in PowerPoint.

Required profile

• In‑depth knowledge of Catia V5 and Prisma, with proven experience in mechanical design and documentation.
• Strong command of English (minimum C1) and optional German (B2 preferred).
• Ability to understand kinematics, spring rates, and functional/mechanical aspects of components.
• Experience coordinating with suppliers and handling approval processes following BMW GI guidelines.
