Environmental Health Safety Engineer

About the role

The Environmental Health Safety (EHS) Engineer will develop, implement and maintain EHS programmes for a plastic exterior parts manufacturing operation. The role ensures compliance with legal and company standards while fostering a safe, healthy and environmentally responsible workplace.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and maintain EHS policies, procedures and management systems in line with local regulations.
• Conduct routine safety inspections across production areas, warehouses, labs and offices, identifying hazards and coordinating corrective actions.
• Manage environmental aspects such as air emissions, wastewater, waste streams, noise and energy consumption, monitoring performance indicators.
• Support occupational health risk identification and control, including noise, dust, chemicals, heat and ergonomics, and oversee health surveillance and PPE.
• Participate in incident investigations, root‑cause analysis and emergency response, tracking corrective actions.
• Maintain EHS documentation, permits, risk assessments, training records and reporting.
• Drive continuous improvement projects to reduce accidents, environmental impact and compliance risks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Safety, Chemical, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of EHS experience in manufacturing, preferably plastic parts, automotive components, injection molding or surface‑treatment environments.
• Strong knowledge of applicable EHS laws, hazardous chemicals, fire safety, waste management and occupational health.
• Proven experience in incident investigation, risk assessment and delivering EHS training.
• Excellent communication, coordination and problem‑solving abilities.
• Professional proficiency in English.
