Group Leader – Communication & Interior Design

About the role

The Communication & Interior Design Group Leader inspires visitors by presenting IKEA’s home furnishing offer with strong visual impressions that exceed expectations. The role combines store layout, visual merchandising and commercial activities to create an inspiring, commercially strong customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Communication & Interior Design team, including interior design and visual merchandising colleagues.
• Secure inspiring, functional and commercial home‑furnishing solutions through room settings, vignettes and activity areas.
• Design optimal store layout and range presentation that supports commercial priorities and the customer journey.
• Drive store vitality and seasonality by implementing a commercial calendar and new activities.
• Partner with the Store Manager and commercial team to support sales, margin and business goals.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in communication, interior design, visual merchandising or related retail design functions.
• Proven success in leading, inspiring and developing people in a fast‑paced retail environment.
• Strong commercial mindset with ability to translate market research and customer insights into aesthetic solutions.
• Excellent communication, coaching and presentation skills, fluent in English.
