Head of Project Cargo & Industrial Projects

About the role

Aramex Morocco is seeking a strategic, results‑driven Head of Project Cargo & Industrial Projects to build and expand its industrial project logistics capabilities across Morocco and North Africa. You will lead commercial growth and oversee the execution of complex, heavy‑lift, out‑of‑gauge and breakbulk shipments for high‑impact sectors such as energy, oil & gas, mining, infrastructure and manufacturing.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement a country‑level growth strategy for project cargo and industrial logistics.
• Lead end‑to‑end tender processes, including pricing, technical proposals and commercial frameworks.
• Develop and maintain long‑term partnerships with EPC firms and key industrial accounts.
• Coordinate multimodal transport operations, heavy‑lift movements, vessel/aircraft charters and oversized road transport.
• Conduct site inspections, route surveys and feasibility studies for inland heavy‑lift transport.
• Negotiate and manage contracts with carriers, port authorities, stevedores and charter brokers.
• Own the vertical’s P&L, drive revenue growth, manage margins and control costs.
• Provide accurate forecasts, variance analysis and performance reporting to senior management.
• Identify and mitigate operational, commercial and financial risks while ensuring compliance with customs, trade regulations and HSSE standards.

Required profile

• 7‑10+ years of progressive experience in freight forwarding with a focus on project cargo, breakbulk and industrial logistics.
• Proven success securing major project contracts and managing multimodal operations in North Africa or similar emerging markets.
• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, engineering or a related field.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of heavy‑lift and out‑of‑gauge cargo handling.
• Expertise in multimodal transport planning and execution.
• Strong tender and commercial proposal development abilities.
• Financial stewardship including P&L ownership, budgeting and forecasting.
• Risk management and HSSE compliance experience.
