Instrumentation & Control Commissioning Engineer – Casablanca

About the role

ACCIONA is seeking an experienced Instrumentation & Control Commissioning Engineer to join its Water business line for a project in Casablanca. The role involves delivering commissioning, testing and start‑up activities for electrical and control systems, ensuring they meet design specifications and functional requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Perform inspections, calibration, signal testing, and loop checks on field instruments.
• Commission electrical valves, motors, actuators and related field devices.
• Verify and test signals from MV Switchgear, LV Switchgear and MCCs.
• Conduct functional testing of DCS, PLC, SIS/ESD and associated control systems.
• Validate I/O, alarms, interlocks, sequences and Cause & Effect matrices.
• Troubleshoot issues and coordinate corrective actions during testing and start‑up.
• Collaborate with Electrical, Mechanical, Construction, Engineering and Operations teams.
• Manage punch lists, test protocols, commissioning records and documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation, Control, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Automation or a related field.
• More than 5 years of experience in commissioning and start‑up of industrial projects.
• Availability for field work and commissioning/start‑up phases.
• High level of English and French.

Required skills

• Siemens PLC programming, diagnostics, signal monitoring and I/O verification.
• DCS, PLC, SCADA and SIS/ESD functional testing.
• MV Switchgear, LV Switchgear and MCC signal verification.
• Process calibrators (AMS TREX, Fluke 754, Druck) and calibration of pressure, temperature, level, flow and electrical signals.
• Condition Monitoring Systems.
• Industrial communication protocols such as HART and Profibus DP.
• Reading and interpreting P&IDs, loop diagrams and I/O lists.
