About the role

Africa50 is a pan‑African infrastructure investment platform dedicated to closing the continent’s infrastructure gap through private investment. This six‑month internship in the Transport vertical of the Project Development team offers hands‑on exposure to infrastructure project development, financial modelling and investment execution.

Key responsibilities

• Support the development and audit of financial models for infrastructure investments and portfolio companies.
• Conduct industry, market and company research.
• Assist in the execution of Africa50’s project development investments.
• Prepare project‑related documents for internal and external audiences.
• Assist in all aspects of the project lifecycle from development to disbursement.
• Support the investment team in non‑core investment activities.

Required profile

• Previous experience in investment banking, private equity, infrastructure development, project finance, transaction advisory, or strategy consulting.
• Currently pursuing or graduating within 12 months with an MBA, MSc, or Bachelor’s degree from a reputable university.
• Fluent in English and French.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
