Junior Accountant – Entry Level Finance Role

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Junior Accountant to join our finance team. The role supports daily accounting operations, ensuring accurate recording of transactions and timely financial reporting. This is an entry‑level position ideal for candidates with a solid grounding in accounting principles.

Key responsibilities

• Record and process daily financial transactions accurately and promptly.
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoice preparation and payment processing.
• Perform bank, credit‑card and general ledger reconciliations.
• Maintain organized accounting records and supporting documentation.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing activities and prepare basic financial reports.
• Research and resolve discrepancies in financial records.
• Assist in journal entry preparation and general ledger maintenance.
• Help gather documentation for audits and ensure compliance with company policies.

Required profile

• Previous experience in accounting, bookkeeping, finance, or related functions.
• Degree, diploma or coursework in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
• Familiarity with accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations and general ledger processes.
• Ability to meet accounting deadlines and maintain confidentiality.
• Strong analytical, numerical and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
• Experience using accounting software, ERP systems or other financial management platforms.
• Basic understanding of general ledger and month‑end closing procedures.
