Junior Prompt Engineer

About the role

JHC Consulting is advising a financial‑services partner on the governance and deployment of internal reasoning tools. As a Junior Prompt Engineer you will translate complex strategic questions into structured prompts for large language models, ensuring that the outputs support rigorous advisory work. The position is full‑time, permanent and fully remote.

Key responsibilities

• Design and test prompts that expose model assumptions and reveal contradictions.
• Audit and document model outputs in signed memoranda, tracking which inputs generate the most reliable reasoning.
• Peer‑review colleagues’ prompts and refine instructional frameworks for handling financial‑services data.
• Maintain written records of experiments and revisions, supporting senior principals in finalizing memoranda.

Required profile

• Strong verbal intelligence and a disciplined approach to writing.
• Ability to read dense corporate documents and extract core arguments.
• Curiosity about large language model behavior and limitations.
• Self‑managed remote work habits and willingness to challenge flawed outputs.
• Background in fields emphasizing critical thinking such as philosophy, linguistics or law.
