Lead Data Scientist

About the role

As a Lead Data Scientist at Leyton CognitX, you will drive data‑driven decision‑making across the organization. You will work in a fast‑learning, data‑centric environment that values scale and agility, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to turn complex data into actionable insights.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze raw data, assess quality, cleanse and structure it for downstream processing.
• Design accurate and scalable predictive algorithms using advanced machine learning techniques.
• Collaborate with engineering and business stakeholders to move analytical prototypes into production.
• Generate actionable insights to inform business improvements and optimize processes.
• Automate data collection, aggregation and visualization to produce metrics for decision‑making.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in data science, quantitative analytics or data modeling with a proven track record of delivering impact.
• Deep knowledge of predictive modeling, clustering, classification and other machine learning techniques.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with cross‑functional teams.
