Legal (Lawyer) Manager

About the role

The Legal (Lawyer) Manager provides comprehensive legal and labor support to the organization, ensuring compliance with Moroccan labor legislation and corporate law. This senior position works closely with HR Business Partners and local leadership to mitigate legal risks and represent the company in labor and criminal litigation.

Key responsibilities

• Review and negotiate contracts, advising on contractual obligations and compliance risks.
• Serve as the primary representative in labor and criminal litigation before Moroccan authorities and courts.
• Collaborate with HR teams to ensure adherence to labor laws, handling complaints and disputes.
• Conduct legal research, draft opinions, contracts, and required documentation for labor authorities.
• Develop and deliver training sessions on labor legislation for HR professionals and line managers.
• Provide timely updates on legal and regulatory developments affecting company operations.
• Coordinate with external counsel, vendors, and government agencies as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s or postgraduate diploma in Law.
• Professional license (Bar or equivalent) to practice law.
• 6‑8 years of experience in labor law and corporate legal matters.
• Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, French, and Arabic.
• Effective public presentation skills.
