Massage Therapist – Spa Services

About the role

The Ritz-Carlton is seeking a professional Massage Therapist to deliver a range of massage and body treatment services to guests. You will assess guest needs, ensure safety, and promote a relaxing spa experience while maintaining high standards of hygiene and professionalism.

Key responsibilities

• Provide massage services using appropriate props and products, and perform body treatments such as scrubs, wraps, and hydrotherapy.
• Assess guest health information, including contraindications like allergies, high blood pressure, and pregnancy before each session.
• Maintain a clean, organized workstation and treatment room, sterilize tools, and manage linens and supplies throughout the shift.
• Promote and sell spa services and related retail products, adhering to Marriott’s sales standards.
• Handle inappropriate guest behavior according to Marriott International SOPs, including stopping a service and notifying a supervisor when necessary.
• Report accidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions, and complete required safety training and certifications.

Required profile

• State or regional massage license as required by local regulations.
• Technical, trade, or vocational school degree related to massage therapy.
• At least one year of relevant work experience in a spa or hotel setting.

Required skills

• Proficiency in various massage therapy techniques.
• Experience with body scrubs, wraps, and hydrotherapy treatments.
• Ability to use massage props and products safely and effectively.
