Materials Compliance Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Materials Compliance Engineer to ensure that our automotive and aerospace products meet EU regulatory requirements. You will work closely with engineering, manufacturing and supplier teams to assess materials, manage data and drive continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret and apply EU regulations such as REACH, ELV and SCIP to materials and parts.
• Collect, analyse and validate IMDS and MSDS data for compliance.
• Update CATIA drawings and perform CAE structural modifications according to engineering instructions.
• Conduct supplier surveys, evaluate chemical management processes and negotiate corrective actions.
• Develop and execute action plans to eliminate regulated substances and improve workflows.
• Maintain accurate regulatory documentation and ensure high‑quality design updates.

Required profile

• 1‑5 years of experience in product compliance, regulatory affairs or material assessment within automotive, aerospace or manufacturing.
• Master’s degree in Mechanical, Materials, Chemical, Automotive or Aerospace Engineering.
• Fluent in French and English.
• Good knowledge of EU regulations, particularly REACH.

Required skills

• Knowledge of EU regulations (REACH, ELV, SCIP).
• Proficiency with IMDS and MSDS data handling.
• Experience using CATIA for drawing updates.
• Ability to perform CAE structural analysis.
• Strong data analysis and material assessment capabilities.
