Mechanical Designer

About the role

The Mechanical Designer manufactures and assembles products according to established facility processes, troubleshoots problems and maintains complex equipment while contributing to the design of new automated systems.

Key responsibilities

• Manufacture and assemble various products following facility processes.
• Troubleshoot issues and perform maintenance on complex equipment.
• Design and develop new automated systems and process platforms.
• Support the industrialization of new products and continuous improvement of existing production lines.
• Collaborate with product development to define and validate equipment concepts.
• Recommend automation strategies based on volume and quality requirements.
• Ensure manufacturability of new designs and smooth production ramp‑up.
• Develop prototype tooling, sample parts, and pilot equipment in partnership with R&D and operations teams.

Required profile

• Technician or Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in special‑purpose machine design or industrial automation.
• Proficiency in Creo Parametric and PDM‑Link.
• Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, pneumatics, and manufacturing processes.
• Experience with mechanisms, actuators, and motion integration.
• Ability to work in a cross‑disciplinary environment (mechanical, automation, electrical).
• Good communication and technical documentation skills.
• Structured problem‑solving mindset.
