Model Based Design Engineer (Matlab/Simulink)

About the role

ALTEN Maroc is seeking a Model Based Design Engineer with strong expertise in Matlab/Simulink to develop and maintain embedded software for automotive ECUs. You will work on integration, testing, and validation of software components within vehicle networks.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain unit tests for embedded ECU software.
• Integrate software components into ECU platforms, ensuring hardware and network compatibility.
• Perform root‑cause analysis of software defects, communication issues, and ECU malfunctions.
• Use diagnostic tools (CANoe, CANalyzer, UDS, DoIP, OBDII) and vehicle logs to identify and resolve issues.
• Flash software onto ECUs and develop UDS diagnostic services, DTCs, and fault‑memory strategies.
• Analyze CAN, LIN, FlexRay, and Ethernet traces for anomalies.
• Support integration tests on benches, HIL systems, and in‑vehicle testing.
• Ensure compliance with AUTOSAR, ISO 26262, ASPICE, and cybersecurity standards.
• Create and maintain documentation such as SRS, SDD, design reviews, and traceability matrices.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Embedded Systems, Electronics Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Model‑Based Development (MBD).
• Strong project planning, technical coordination, and risk‑management skills.
• Professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
