Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) Officer

About the role

The Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) Officer will support the STRIDES project in Morocco by overseeing the design, implementation, and reporting of monitoring and evaluation activities. The role involves training staff, ensuring data quality, and producing technical documentation to demonstrate project impact.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and implement MEL processes and tools across targeted geographic areas.
• Train program staff on indicator tracking, data collection, and reporting standards.
• Provide technical guidance to partners and draft workplans, manuals, and training materials.
• Conduct literature and software searches to inform project innovations and best practices.
• Support preparation of quarterly, annual, and ad‑hoc technical reports, including data analysis and visualization.
• Participate in client and funder meetings, and assist with proposal development and budget tracking.
• Ensure quality control, data review, and documentation of services rendered.

Required profile

• University degree in public health, epidemiology, social sciences, or a related field.
• Experience in monitoring, evaluation, and learning within health or development projects.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to interpret quantitative and qualitative data.
• Excellent written communication skills for technical reporting.
