Portfolio Coordinator, Rule of Law & Human Rights

About the role

The Portfolio Coordinator will support UNDP’s work on strengthening the rule of law and protecting human rights, focusing on the ongoing judicial reform in Morocco. The role involves coordinating a portfolio of projects, ensuring alignment with UNDP strategies, and facilitating effective collaboration among partners.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor the implementation of rule‑of‑law and human‑rights projects within the portfolio.
• Maintain regular communication with national authorities, civil‑society actors, and UNDP teams to ensure coherent action.
• Prepare and present progress reports, analytical briefs, and recommendations for senior management.
• Support capacity‑building activities for judicial institutions and stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with UNDP policies, financial guidelines, and donor requirements.

Required profile

• Advanced university degree in Law, International Relations, Political Science or a related field.
• Professional experience in rule‑of‑law, human‑rights or judicial‑reform programmes, preferably in a North‑African context.
• Strong understanding of international human‑rights standards and the Moroccan legal framework.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of French or Arabic is an asset.
