Product Engineer

About the role

The Product Engineer will lead the development of new cable‑assembly products and the modification of existing ones. You will work across multiple disciplines to ensure product designs meet technical, cost and regulatory requirements while supporting production and customers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop new products and adjust existing designs based on market and customer needs.
• Gather and analyse all relevant data to create complete product requirement packages.
• Conduct feasibility studies covering cost, technical viability, material suitability and applicability.
• Select appropriate design solutions, create sketches, drawings and detailed specifications.
• Prepare accurate bills of materials and ensure design validity before release.
• Perform problem analyses, testing and trials; implement corrective actions as needed.
• Track development progress and report status to stakeholders.
• Provide cross‑disciplinary advice to resolve production concerns and support engineers with test results.
• Act as technical liaison for internal teams, customers and vendors on product‑engineering matters.

Required profile

• Engineering degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in product design and manufacturing engineering.
• Hands‑on experience with testing equipment and validation processes.
• Proficiency with CAD systems and, when required, production tooling.
• Strong knowledge of material selection and product validation specifications.
• Competent use of standard computer software and engineering applications.
