Production Supervisor

About the role

We are looking for a Production Supervisor to lead a team of operators on the shop floor. The role involves overseeing daily production activities, ensuring safety and quality standards, and developing the skills of the workforce.

Key responsibilities

• Induct and train new employees, including temporary staff.
• Organise and schedule training actions, analyse skill needs and define development plans.
• Monitor operator certifications and maintain the flexibility grid in real time.
• Manage daily absenteeism, holidays, safety compliance and environmental risk analysis.
• Enforce standard breaks and meetings, validate working time on the shop floor.
• Apply reaction standards rigorously and escalate issues according to procedures.
• Conduct monthly performance reviews and foster a positive social climate.
• Perform annual appraisals, salary reviews and career interviews.
• Deliver on‑the‑job training on standards and ensure health, safety and environmental rules are followed.
• Keep working instructions up‑to‑date and drive continuous improvement of work standards.
• Define and maintain TPM standards, detect abnormalities, conduct equipment inspections and first‑level preventive maintenance.
• Measure cycle times, monitor equipment performance and address micro‑stoppages.
• Update production displays (QCDM) at shift end and ensure material availability.
• Propose weekly headcount and organization plans to align with the Master Production Schedule.
• Ensure production targets, quality, cost, delivery and inventory goals are met.
• Liaise with supply‑chain and support functions to resolve issues and implement corrective actions.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading production or manufacturing teams.
• Strong knowledge of safety, quality and environmental standards.
• Ability to analyse skill gaps and develop training plans.
• Experience with TPM, 5S and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
