Rig Mechanic

About the role

FORAGE SOLID DRILL is seeking an experienced Rig Mechanic to support its drilling operations across multiple project sites in Morocco. The successful candidate will work hands‑on with drilling rigs and heavy equipment, ensuring reliable performance and minimal downtime.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on drilling rigs and associated equipment.
• Diagnose and repair hydraulic, mechanical, pneumatic, and basic electrical systems.
• Troubleshoot hydraulic pumps, motors, valves, cylinders, compressors, engines, and power‑train components.
• Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimise operational interruptions.
• Carry out regular inspections and identify potential failures before they affect production.
• Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records.
• Collaborate closely with drilling crews and site management while adhering to HSE procedures.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Drilling Rig Mechanic or Heavy Equipment Mechanic.
• Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems; experience with diesel engines, compressors, and pumps is essential.
• Familiarity with Diamond Drilling (DD) and/or RC drilling rigs is highly valued.
• Ability to work independently in remote mining and drilling sites.
• Willingness to follow rotational site schedules and travel across Morocco.
• Technical diploma or relevant mechanical qualification preferred.
• Current residence in Morocco.
