Senior Automation Test Engineer

About the role

ALTEN Morocco is looking for a Senior Automation Test Engineer to join its high-performance engineering ecosystem. You will lead the design, implementation and execution of system-level automated tests for automotive and embedded projects, ensuring quality and traceability across hardware and software components.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement automated test cases using Robot Framework and Python keyword libraries, validating against DLT traces, device logs, SSH outputs, diagnostic responses and cloud APIs.
• Maintain integration of test execution with Jira/Xray (Cloud) and own CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, Artifactory) covering flashing, coding, test execution and reporting.
• Set up, configure and troubleshoot HIL and standalone test benches, including ECU wiring, power control, network access, flashing, coding, and diagnostics over DoIP/UDS.
• Manage software builds and variants, drive diagnostics on CAN/Ethernet buses, and maintain bench configurations.
• Diagnose failures across the full stack and correctly attribute root causes.

Required profile

• Master’s degree (BAC+5) in embedded systems or a related engineering field.
• 3–8 years of professional experience in test automation, preferably in automotive or embedded domains.
• Proven ability to work independently in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Required skills

• Programming: Python (clean, maintainable code).
• Test frameworks: Robot Framework (library and keyword development).
• ALM tools: Jira, Confluence, Xray automation.
• CI/CD: GitLab CI (or Jenkins/GitHub Actions) with disciplined Git branching.
• Embedded/automotive: ECU flashing & coding, UDS/DoIP diagnostics, DLT logging, Linux and QNX shell proficiency.
• Connectivity: HTTP/REST, MQTT, proxies, TLS/certificates, OAuth tokens, network debugging.
• Vehicle bus interfaces: CAN, Ethernet.
