Senior Functional Safety Designer

About the role

ALTEN Morocco is seeking a Senior Functional Safety Designer to lead the definition, maintenance and update of the Electrical and Electronic Architecture Design dossier (DCEE). The role combines deep technical expertise in functional safety with leadership of multidisciplinary consultant teams, ensuring compliance with safety standards for major automotive projects.

Key responsibilities

• Define and consolidate functional specifications for the DCEE system.
• Conduct audits on use cases and scenarios, and manage modification requests.
• Prepare and present QCTP (Quality, Cost, Time, Planning) reports to Stellantis management.
• Coordinate with suppliers, Stellantis design groups, project teams, TCS and component teams.
• Analyze issues, perform diagnostic synthesis and drive root‑cause investigations.
• Lead, mentor and train a team of consultants, fostering a collaborative environment.
• Represent the EE team in high‑level meetings and contribute to strategic decision‑making.
• Identify and implement continuous‑improvement initiatives within the EE architecture team.

Required profile

• Master’s degree (BAC+5) in Electronics, Embedded Systems Engineering or a related field.
• 5‑8 years of experience in functional safety and system design.
• Proven ability to manage product diversity and ensure requirements consistency.
• Strong background in technical analysis and root‑cause investigation.
