Senior Java Software Engineer (AI Integration)

About the role

As a Senior Java Software Engineer focused on AI integration, you will design and deliver production‑grade applications while embedding large language model capabilities into client solutions. You will work on internal projects using Java/Spring Boot and on enterprise assignments that may involve Python or Node.js/TypeScript, adapting to business needs.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop end‑to‑end features, including APIs, business logic, unit and integration tests, and deployment pipelines.
• Maintain code quality through SOLID principles, design patterns, clean architecture, code reviews, and SonarQube analysis.
• Build robust, versioned, secure, and performant REST APIs.
• Operate in CI/CD environments using Git flow, pull‑request reviews, automated pipelines, and regression testing.
• Integrate LLMs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Mistral) via APIs, managing tokens, costs, and latency.
• Construct Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines with chunking, embedding, vector stores, and retrieval components.
• Implement LLM agents using LangChain or LangGraph for automated workflows.
• Measure AI output quality with RAGAS or custom metrics and monitor performance.
• Mentor junior and mid‑level engineers, conduct code reviews, and share best practices.
• Collaborate directly with clients and product owners to gather requirements and present technical solutions.
• Participate in architecture decisions and define technical standards for the team.

Required profile

• Seasoned software engineer with a proven track record of delivering production‑grade Java applications.
• Strong ability to integrate AI capabilities without being a data scientist.
• Experience working on both internal projects and client‑facing engagements across varied technology stacks.
• Effective mentor and communicator, capable of translating technical concepts for diverse audiences.
