Senior Water Resources / Senior Dam Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Water Resources / Senior Dam Engineer to lead our expanding portfolio of dam repair, removal, and climate‑resilient projects across New England. The role combines technical leadership, project management, and mentorship in a hybrid work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead dam repair and removal projects from planning through design, permitting, and construction support.
• Develop project scopes, fees, schedules, and budgets; oversee contracts and delivery.
• Prepare and review engineering analyses, technical reports, plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Coordinate local, state, and federal permitting and grant applications.
• Apply hydrologic and hydraulic modeling to support design and regulatory submissions.
• Collaborate with clients, regulators, and multidisciplinary internal teams.
• Support business development, funding strategy, and proposal preparation.
• Mentor junior and mid‑level engineers, providing technical oversight.

Required profile

• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• 10+ years of experience in water resources and dam engineering.
• Strong knowledge of dam safety regulations, codes, and industry standards.
• Proven ability to lead dam repair and removal design efforts.
• Excellent communication, project management, and mentoring skills.
• Willingness to travel 10–15% throughout New England.
