Software Development Manager

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Software Development Manager to lead a multidisciplinary engineering organization of more than 30 engineers at our Morocco Development Center. The role combines people leadership, engineering execution, operational excellence, and talent development across Oracle Support, Oracle Operations, AI data platforms, and AI‑enabled capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop an engineering organization of 30+ staff, setting clear operating models, goals, and priorities.
• Deliver reliable, secure, and scalable software while driving operational improvements.
• Partner with global engineering, product, support, data, security, and operations teams to define roadmaps and resolve dependencies.
• Establish a culture of customer focus, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
• Use data to monitor delivery health, quality, reliability, and workforce capacity.
• Build and execute talent plans, including hiring, onboarding, performance management, and succession planning.
• Develop technical and leadership capabilities in modern data, cloud, automation, and AI technologies.
• Represent the Morocco Development Center in cross‑functional planning and stakeholder discussions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 10+ years of experience in software engineering, systems engineering, or data engineering.
• Proven ability to lead large, diverse engineering teams and deliver complex software initiatives.
• Strong judgment in software architecture and a track record of operational excellence.
