Strategy & Business Development Leader – MEA

About the role

The Strategy & Business Development Leader – MEA will shape and execute the regional growth agenda across the Middle East and Africa. Reporting to senior leadership, this role drives strategic planning, uncovers new market opportunities, and builds high‑impact partnerships to expand the company’s presence and profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the creation and implementation of the MEA strategic plan, aligning it with global priorities and local market realities.
• Conduct market and competitive analyses to identify growth opportunities, trends, and threats.
• Develop long‑range revenue forecasts, market segmentation, and investment priorities.
• Identify, evaluate, and execute new business opportunities, including partnerships, joint ventures, and M&A.
• Build business cases, financial models, and go‑to‑market strategies for new products or market entries.
• Lead commercial negotiations with partners, government entities, and key stakeholders.
• Act as a strategic advisor to regional leadership and global executives, ensuring alignment across commercial, finance, operations, and corporate strategy teams.
• Prepare executive‑level presentations, board materials, and strategic reviews.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Engineering or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• 10–15+ years of experience in strategy, business development, management consulting or corporate planning.
• Proven track record in Middle East & Africa markets with measurable commercial results.
• Experience delivering market entry strategies and large‑scale transformation programs.
