Test and Validation Engineer

About the role

ALTEN Maroc is looking for a Test and Validation Engineer to lead Hardware‑in‑the‑Loop (HIL) testing of automotive electronic control units (ECUs) and embedded systems. You will ensure performance, reliability and compliance of ECU hardware and software through rigorous validation on HIL benches.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop test cases for ECUs and subsystems on HIL platforms.
• Execute validation campaigns to verify compliance with system requirements and specifications.
• Troubleshoot and maintain HIL benches, updating simulation models and test scenarios as needed.
• Develop automated test scripts using Python, CAPL or MATLAB/Simulink.
• Integrate test cases into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing.
• Analyze test results, identify hardware or software issues, and produce detailed test reports.
• Validate communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, FlexRay and Ethernet.
• Ensure testing activities follow ISO 26262, ASPICE and OEM guidelines.

Required profile

• Master’s degree (BAC+5) in embedded systems engineering or equivalent experience.
• 3‑5 years of hands‑on experience with HIL testing in the automotive sector.
• Strong English communication skills.
• Ability to analyze system behavior, diagnose root causes and work autonomously.

Required skills

• HIL testing tools: dSPACE, Vector CANoe, NI VeriStand, ETAS.
• Automotive communication protocols: CAN, LIN, UDS, FlexRay.
• Test scripting languages: Python, CAPL, MATLAB/Simulink.
• Familiarity with vehicle electrical/electronic components (sensors, actuators, ECUs).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and test automation.
