Enakl, a Moroccan startup specializing in collective mobility solutions, is looking for a highly skilled Senior Backend Engineer to join its Casablanca team. The position is a full‑time, permanent contract (CDI) with a monthly salary range of 22,000 to 26,000 Moroccan Dirhams (MAD). The role is fully remote, with the possibility of hybrid onsite interviews in Casablanca.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain core backend services for a large‑scale, multi‑tenant SaaS platform.
• Lead the architecture of backend systems using Node.js, TypeScript, and NestJS.
• Ensure database performance and reliability by optimizing PostgreSQL queries and implementing robust indexing strategies.
• Implement comprehensive access control mechanisms, including ACL, RBAC, and ABAC, to secure tenant isolation.
• Refactor legacy codebases to improve maintainability, readability, and performance.
• Write unit and integration tests to guarantee code quality and reduce regressions.
• Monitor system health through observability, logging, and diagnostics, and respond to incidents promptly.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define technical requirements and deliver high‑quality solutions.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning.

Required Skills

The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Node.js, TypeScript, NestJS, and PostgreSQL. Experience with multi‑tenant architecture, tenant isolation, and access control (ACL, RBAC, ABAC) is essential. Strong refactoring skills, a solid testing mindset, and performance tuning experience are also required. Familiarity with AWS services and event‑driven architectures will be a plus.
