Enakl, a Casablanca‑based mobility startup, is on a mission to transform everyday travel in emerging megacities through intelligent collective transport solutions. As a Senior Backend Engineer – SaaS Platform, you will be at the forefront of scaling Enakl’s backend from a monolithic architecture to a robust, multi‑tenant SaaS platform. Your primary responsibilities include owning the entire backend stack, leading large‑scale refactoring initiatives, and ensuring data integrity across both B2B and consumer booking workflows. You will collaborate closely with product managers, data scientists, and front‑end engineers to design and implement secure, high‑performance services that support thousands of daily users.
Key technical requirements: 6+ years of professional experience with Node.js and TypeScript, deep expertise in NestJS, and advanced proficiency in PostgreSQL and SQL. You must be adept at designing tenant isolation mechanisms, implementing fine‑grained access control using ACL, RBAC, or ABAC models, and refactoring live production systems without downtime. A strong testing discipline—unit and integration tests—is mandatory, as is the ability to tune database performance and optimize complex queries.
Beyond core backend skills, we value experience with SaaS platform operations, including multi‑tenant architecture, continuous integration/continuous deployment pipelines, and event‑driven or background job processing. Familiarity with AWS services—such as EC2, RDS, S3, and Lambda—is a plus, as is knowledge of containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes). You will also contribute to the design of scalable micro‑services, API gateways, and real‑time data pipelines that feed Enakl’s analytics engine.
