About the Role

Cypher, a private cloud‑based accounting and CFO service provider headquartered in Casablanca, is looking for a seasoned AI & Automation Engineer to join its Finance & Operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying AI‑driven automation solutions that streamline financial processes, enhance data accuracy, and provide actionable insights to clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain AI/ML models, including large‑language‑model (LLM) pipelines, to automate data extraction and processing from financial statements.
• Build end‑to‑end automation workflows using Python, JavaScript, SQL, and orchestration tools to integrate with cloud accounting platforms such as QuickBooks Online, Xero, and custom APIs.
• Design and implement data models and dashboards using BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker) to provide real‑time visibility into key financial metrics.
• Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to understand close processes, management reporting requirements, and regulatory compliance.
• Document architecture, code, and best practices to ensure maintainability and knowledge transfer.
• Lead the evaluation and adoption of new AI/ML technologies that can be leveraged across the organization.

Required Skills

• Strong background in AI/ML and large‑language‑model development.
• Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, and SQL for data manipulation and automation.
• Experience designing workflows and orchestrating complex pipelines.
• Data modeling and dashboard development expertise using BI tools.
• Excellent documentation and execution skills.
• Understanding of financial statements, accounting processes, and close procedures.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Finance, or related field.
• 3–5 years of professional experience in AI, automation, or finance engineering.
• Fluent in English and French (both written and spoken).

Work Environment

The position is a full‑time CDI with a hybrid work model (HB), offering flexibility to work from the Casablanca office or remotely.
