As the Head of Data, you will be the strategic architect behind Novancy’s data initiatives, steering the entire data lifecycle from acquisition and storage to analysis and governance. Your primary responsibilities include:

• Data Strategy Development: Craft and implement a forward‑looking data strategy that aligns with business objectives, ensuring scalability, security, and compliance.
• Team Leadership: Build, mentor, and manage a high‑performing data team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
• Technology Oversight: Evaluate, select, and oversee the deployment of cutting‑edge data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, SQL, NoSQL, and cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Governance & Compliance: Enforce data governance frameworks, maintain GDPR compliance, and implement DataOps and MLops practices to streamline data pipelines.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with product, engineering, and business units to translate data insights into actionable strategies.

Key qualifications include a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field, coupled with at least ten years of progressive experience in data management and leadership roles. You should possess a deep understanding of data architecture, cloud platforms, and privacy regulations, as well as strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
