As the Head of Data, you will be the chief architect of Novancy’s data ecosystem, steering the vision, strategy, and execution of all data initiatives. Your primary responsibilities include defining a comprehensive data governance framework that ensures data integrity, security, and compliance with international regulations such as GDPR. You will design and implement scalable data architectures, leveraging modern technologies like Hadoop, Spark, SQL, NoSQL, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) to support advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI projects.

You will lead a multidisciplinary team of data engineers, data scientists, and analysts, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and continuous improvement. Your role involves close collaboration with senior leadership to translate business objectives into data‑driven solutions, prioritizing projects that deliver measurable value. You will also evaluate and partner with external vendors and technology providers to stay at the forefront of data technology trends.

Key qualifications include a minimum of ten years of experience in data management, with at least five years in a leadership capacity. You should possess deep expertise in data technologies, a solid understanding of legal frameworks such as GDPR, and familiarity with best practices like DataOps and MLops. A strategic mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to influence stakeholders across the organization are essential.

In addition to technical acumen, you will champion a culture of data literacy, ensuring that data is treated as a strategic asset. You will develop training programs, establish data quality metrics, and promote ethical data usage.
