As the Head of Data, you will be the strategic leader responsible for shaping and executing the organization’s data vision. Your role will encompass the entire data lifecycle, from governance and architecture to analytics and AI. You will define data policies, establish data quality standards, and ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks such as GDPR. You will lead cross‑functional teams of data engineers, data scientists, and analysts, fostering a culture of data‑driven decision making across all business units.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing and implementing a comprehensive data strategy that aligns with business goals.
• Designing and maintaining scalable data architecture, including data lakes, warehouses, and real‑time pipelines.
• Overseeing data governance, security, and compliance initiatives to protect sensitive information.
• Driving the adoption of advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI solutions to unlock new business insights.
• Collaborating with executive leadership to prioritize data projects and allocate resources effectively.
• Building and nurturing high‑performing data teams, providing mentorship and professional development opportunities.
• Evaluating and integrating new data technologies, such as Hadoop, Spark, SQL, NoSQL, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

We are looking for a seasoned data leader with at least 10 years of experience in data management, including 5+ years in a leadership role. You should have a strong technical background in data engineering, data science, and analytics, as well as a deep understanding of data governance, security, and compliance. Excellent communication skills and a strategic mindset are essential, as you will be translating complex data concepts into actionable business insights for stakeholders at all levels.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
• Proven experience leading data teams in mature data environments.
• Expertise in big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark), relational and NoSQL databases, and cloud data services.
• Strong knowledge of GDPR and other data protection regulations.
• Experience with DataOps and MLops practices.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
