As Head of Data, you will be the strategic leader responsible for shaping Novancy’s data vision and ensuring its alignment with the organization’s business objectives. Your core responsibilities include:

• Data Vision & Governance: Define and implement a comprehensive data strategy that covers governance, architecture, analytics, and AI initiatives. Establish policies and standards to ensure data quality, security, and compliance with regulations such as GDPR.
• Team Leadership: Lead cross-functional data teams comprising data engineers, data scientists, and analysts. Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and innovation.
• Business Alignment: Work closely with senior leadership to translate business priorities into actionable data projects. Prioritize initiatives that deliver measurable value and support strategic decision‑making.
• Technology & Partnerships: Identify and evaluate Big Data tools (Hadoop, Spark), cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and emerging technologies. Build partnerships with vendors and service providers to enhance the company’s data capabilities.
• DataOps & MLOps: Champion best practices in DataOps and MLOps to streamline data pipelines, automate workflows, and accelerate model deployment.

We are looking for a candidate with:

• 10+ years of experience in data management, including 5+ years in a leadership role.
• Deep expertise in Hadoop, Spark, SQL, NoSQL, and cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Strong knowledge of legal frameworks such as GDPR and data protection best practices.
• A strategic mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
• A degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
