As Head of Data, you will be responsible for defining and implementing the company’s data vision, encompassing governance, architecture, analytics, and AI initiatives. You will lead a multidisciplinary team of data engineers, data scientists, and analysts, ensuring that all projects align with the organization’s strategic priorities. Your role will involve close collaboration with senior leadership to translate business needs into actionable data projects, while maintaining rigorous standards for data quality, security, and regulatory compliance, particularly GDPR and other relevant legal frameworks.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing and executing a comprehensive data strategy that supports the company’s growth objectives.
• Designing and maintaining scalable data architectures, including data lakes, warehouses, and real‑time streaming pipelines.
• Implementing advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI solutions to unlock business insights.
• Ensuring data governance, metadata management, and data quality controls across all data assets.
• Managing data security, privacy, and compliance initiatives, with a focus on GDPR and emerging regulations.
• Building and nurturing high‑performing data teams, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
• Identifying and evaluating new data technologies, tools, and platforms (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, SQL, NoSQL, AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Establishing partnerships with technology vendors and external stakeholders to enhance data capabilities.

Ideal profile:

• Minimum 10 years of experience in data management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Strong technical expertise in big data technologies, cloud platforms, and data analytics.
• Deep understanding of legal frameworks such as GDPR, and best practices in DataOps and MLops.
• Strategic mindset with the ability to translate complex data concepts into actionable business strategies.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of influencing senior executives.
• Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field (Bachelor’s or higher).
