Overview

Novancy Consulting is looking for an experienced Head of Data to spearhead our data strategy and drive data‑centric initiatives across the organization. This senior leadership role will shape how data is collected, governed, and leveraged to achieve business goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and implement the company’s data vision and strategy.
• Oversee and mentor data teams, including data engineers, scientists, and analysts.
• Collaborate with executive leadership to align data initiatives with business objectives.
• Ensure data quality, security, and compliance with GDPR and other regulatory requirements.
• Identify and evaluate technology partnerships, including Big Data tools and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Champion data governance, architecture, and operational excellence through DataOps and MLops practices.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in data management, with at least 5 years in a leadership capacity.
• Proficiency in Hadoop, Spark, SQL, NoSQL, and cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Strong strategic thinking and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional teams and manage complex data projects.
