Haldorix, a Moroccan startup studio focused on turning operational challenges into scalable business solutions, is seeking a Lead Computer Vision Engineer to build a real‑time industrial vision system for textile production monitoring. The role encompasses the entire video‑processing pipeline, from acquisition to detection, tracking, and visualization, ensuring high accuracy and reliability in a production environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead the design and implementation of the computer‑vision pipeline, overseeing acquisition, detection, tracking, and visualization modules.
- Perform geometric calibration, computing homographies to convert pixel coordinates into millimeter‑scale real‑world metrics.
- Optimize and fine‑tune deep‑learning models (e.g., FACT‑tiny) for real‑time inference on GPUs, maintaining consistent mAP metrics and monitoring model drift.
- Ensure system reliability through rigorous testing, documentation, and continuous monitoring.
- Maintain structured FSM diagrams and model specifications, facilitating knowledge transfer and future enhancements.
- Collaborate closely with lead developers and product architects to align technical design with business objectives.
- Optimize GPU usage, latency, and throughput for on‑edge or on‑premise deployments.
- Mentor junior engineers, providing clear documentation and hands‑on guidance.
Required qualifications:
- 3+ years of hands‑on experience in computer vision, including OpenCV, detection, and tracking.
- Strong understanding of camera calibration and 2D/3D projective geometry.
- Proficiency in Python with scientific and vision libraries (NumPy, OpenCV, cv2).
- Deep‑learning expertise for video processing and GPU optimization.
- Experience with edge deployment and lightweight inference frameworks.
- Knowledge of DevOps workflows (Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD).
- Excellent documentation and communication skills in English or French.
Nice to have:
- Prior work in industrial automation or IoT vision systems.
- Experience mentoring or collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
